on their respective targets relevant to the format
they have selected.

The archers have completed an "End" of 6 arrows
and have proceeded to the target under the
instruction of the Director of Shooting (DOS) to
score their arrows and retrieve them.

The archers wait patiently between ends for the
Director of Shooting (DOS) instruction to proceed
to the line. This is a good opportunity to relax,
hydrate and get in the right head-space.

At the Wanganui Archery Club we provide a facility where people young and old, guys and girls can enjoy participating and competing in the sport of Archery at any level and several disciplines.

We cater for Compound, Recurve and Longbow used in many and varied event formats. As well as being an individual sport, it is often taken up by entire families as it is suitable for everyone.

We conduct 6-week Beginners courses throughout the year which gives instruction in safety, equipment and will train a person to a point where they can shoot unatended along side other club members.
